This was a very enthralling book. I read it all in just a few days. I couldn't put it down! I've been interested in the Egyptian culture ever since I was a little girl. I just hope I don't use my sisters and take advantage of my family as much as Nefertiti does, though. Sheesh!

I really liked this book. This is how much of a nerd I am though, I got out my Egyptian Encyclopedia to read up a little bit on the people, the places, etc that the book mentions. It was fascinating to look into the lives of the rulers of ancient Egypt and the scheming, plotting, and killing they had to do or endure to stay in their positions. Nefertiti was portrayed as a very selfish person in this book. If she was really like that in real life, I don't know if I could have ever been as patient with her as her sister appears to have been. Wow! Talk about Drama Queen!
